Two drug dealers have landed behind bars after Thames Valley Police smashed their Class A drug supply ring in Reading.
Claire Caesar and Antonio Ferdinand Sentenced
Claire Caesar, 48, of Basingstoke Road, was handed 2 years and 7 months at Reading Crown Court on 26 February. Antonio Ferdinand, 26, with no fixed address, got an even tougher sentence – 3 years and 7 months.
Caesar tried to dodge blame, claiming she was just heading to a spa. But the drugs seized were hard to ignore, with a total street value around £600.
Second Police Bust Nails Dealers
The duo’s luck ran out on 5 August 2025. Police stopped their car on Bedford Road. Caesar tried to escape arrest and even threw crack cocaine out the window. But cops were having none of it.
- £219 in cash found in the car
- Around 50 wraps of drugs hidden inside
- Ferdinand caught with 3 phones and nearly 50 more drug wraps by his seat
The drugs seized then were worth about £700. Both were arrested and charged the very next day. Caesar’s offences from February and August were fast-tracked to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Police Crack Down on Reading’s Drug Trade
“Our team targets dealers like Caesar and Ferdinand with all the force we’ve got,” said PC Ross Hutcheson from the Reading Proactive team. “We use a mix of visible patrols and covert ops to disrupt drug supply. Public tips are vital.
“If you know anything about drug dealing in Reading, call 101 or report it online.”
