A woman has been arrested following a knife attack outside Barclays on Swindon’s Regent Street just before midnight on Thursday, 4 December.
Man Stabbed in the Leg Outside Barclays
Emergency crews rushed to the scene at around 11.35pm after reports of a stabbing. Paramedics treated a man in his 30s for a leg wound before rushing him to hospital. Fortunately, his injury is not thought to be life-threatening.
36-Year-Old Woman Held on Serious Charges
A 36-year-old woman was quickly arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in custody as police probe the attack.
Knife Crime Fears Rise in Swindon
Locals reported seeing an ambulance and several police cars at the scene. Officers briefly cordoned off the area before reopening it.
This arrest comes just 24 hours after another serious stabbing on Penhill, sparking fresh worries over rising knife crime in the town.
