Shock Stabbing in East Street Car Park Sparks Arrest!
Victim Hurt in Evening Attack
A routine night turned nightmarish just before 8pm on Wednesday, 27 August, when police were called to a multi-storey car park in East Street following reports of a stabbing. A woman in her 40s was found suffering from stab wounds.
Emergency crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed her to a London hospital. Thankfully, she was treated and later released.
60-Year-Old Woman Charged Over Brutal Assault
The same evening, police arrested 60-year-old Tina Tomsett of Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne. She faces serious charges:
- Causing grievous bodily harm with intent
- Possessing a bladed article in a public place
Tomsett was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 29 August.
Police Seek Witnesses to Aid Investigation
Kent Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson said:
