Medway Woman Arrested for High Street Shop Robbery Attempt
A woman sparked panic in Gillingham High Street after trying to rob a fast food shop with a knife, police say.
Knife-Wielding Threats at Gillingham Fast Food Outlet
On Sunday, 17 November 2019, at around 8pm, Kent Police were called to a fast food store where a woman allegedly threatened staff with a bladed weapon and demanded cash.
Chloe Charnley Busted and Charged
Officers arrested 28-year-old Chloe Charnley, previously from Rushdean Road, the same day. She was charged with attempted robbery on 18 November.
Charnley was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 19 November. She was ordered to return to Maidstone Crown Court on 17 December for further proceedings.
