Massive Blaze Hits Old Coach House in Southampton

Around 50 firefighters and officers rushed to a fierce fire on St James Road, Southampton, late Sunday at 11.30pm. The blaze tore through what’s believed to be the old coach house.

Fire Crews from All Over Mobilised

Fire teams from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Hightown, and Eastleigh, backed by two command units, joined the battle to control the inferno. St James Road and part of Bellemoor Road are shut as drivers are urged to steer clear.

Smoke Fills Neighbourhood

Local residents have been warned to keep windows and doors firmly shut due to the thick smoke pouring from the building. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Emergency Services Stay Through The Night

Firefighters are expected to be on scene well into the early hours. South Central Ambulance Service has also dispatched a specialist HART team as a precaution.
