Woman Assaulted in Eastbourne – Police Hunt Witnesses
Attack Stirs Old Town Streets
Police are on the lookout for anyone with info after a woman was assaulted in Eastbourne late Tuesday night. The shocking attack unfolded through the Old Town between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on October 25.
Victim Targeted Near Star Inn
The woman had just left The Star Inn near Upperton Road and was heading toward the town centre when the assault began. The violence didn’t stop there—it continued through The Goffs and onto Hartfield Road.
Good Samaritans Step In
At least two members of the public stopped their cars to try to help. One may have been a taxi driver who could also have been assaulted during the ordeal.
Arrest Made, Investigation Ongoing
Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He’s currently been bailed pending further inquiries.
