Level 42 Founder Boon Gould Dies Aged 64

Tragic news from the music world as Rowland Charles ‘Boon’ Gould, a founding member of 80s pop legends Level 42, has died aged 64. Boon was found dead at his home by Dorset Police on Tuesday morning.

Boon was born in 1955 in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. He helped launch Level 42, one of the island’s biggest musical exports, becoming one of its four original members.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to tell you of the passing of our dear friend and brother Boon Gould. Dorset Police confirmed that he was found dead at his home on Tuesday morning. You are at peace now Boon, no more pain mate. Thank you for everything,” said Mark King on the band’s social media page.
