High Wycombe Man Jailed for Peddling Class A Drugs

A 32-year-old man from High Wycombe has been locked up for over three years after pleading guilty to drug offences.

Yasar Mahmood Busted with Class A Drugs

Yasar Mahmood, of Upper Green Street, admitted to possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday (10 November).

The court sentenced Mahmood to three and a half years behind bars.

Drugs, Cash and Phones Seized in Police Raid

The case stems from a police raid on 5 October 2018 at Mahmood’s home where officers uncovered drugs, cash, and mobile phones.

Mahmood was arrested four days later and formally charged nearly two years after the arrest, on 18 June 2020.

Police Vow to Crack Down on Drug Dealers

Detective Constable James Carey of High Wycombe police station said: “We take a strong stance on drugs as we see the effect it has on vulnerable people in our communities every day.

“I hope this will act as a lesson to all those attempting to or continuing to sell drugs in the Thames Valley that we will not tolerate this.

“We will always do all we can to stop this type of criminality and protect the members of the public who are most affected by these crimes.”
