Tragic Shooting at Lavrock Bank: Sam Fatally Shot in Deadly Motorbike Attack
Sam was enjoying a night out with friends at Lavrock Bank when horror struck. At 11.40pm on August 16, 2022, two motorbikes – believed to be electric – tore into the cul-de-sac and opened fire on the group.
Sam was shot and despite rushed efforts by police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
Major Arrest Made in Wake of Lavrock Bank Shooting
Police launched a swift response to the deadly attack. Early on August 24, officers executed multiple warrants across the area, part of a crackdown on a recent surge in gun and knife crimes.
One suspect is now in custody, held for questioning in connection with Sam’s murder.
“This was a heinous attack that resulted in the tragic death of a young man. We must find out who was responsible as soon as possible,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen, Head of Investigations.

Officers have been knocking on doors and conducting extensive house-to-house inquiries. Yet, detectives say they still need the public’s help to piece together what happened.
