A 25-year-old man was found seriously injured in Gleadless Valley’s Callow Drive just after 1.30am this Saturday (April 9).
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the man’s family have been informed. They are now getting support from specially trained officers.
Police Launch Major Investigation
Detective Chief Inspector Philip Etheridge, leading the inquiry, said: “Extensive enquiries have been carried out throughout the day. Locals will have noticed the increased police presence, which will stay for the coming days.”
Further details on the cause of the man’s injuries are still being confirmed, he added.
