Man, 25, Arrested Over Murder of Dean Edwards in Shocking Penge Shooting
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Dean Edwards, found shot dead in Penge on July 12.
Break in Dean Edwards Murder Case
Dean Edwards, 43, was gunned down while walking through Betts Park on his way home from meeting friends for a drink. The tragic shooting happened near the Croydon Road exit by Tremaine Road, where he was shot in the back of the head.
Detectives moved quickly and arrested a suspect on Sunday, August 16. The man remains in custody at a London police station as the investigation continues.
Police Speak Out
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran said: “This is a major development in our investigation. We will work relentlessly to bring Dean’s killers to justice. Those responsible showed zero regard for human life or the law. Dean’s death is a heartbreaking reminder that gun violence only brings devastating consequences.”
She urged anyone with information to come forward, stating:
