Fatal Collision on Bingham Bypass

Henry Cressey, 62, lost his life after a crash with a car on the A52 Bingham bypass yesterday, around 12.30pm. Emergency services arrived quickly, but Henry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family Devastated, Police Offer Support

Henry, a Southwell resident, leaves behind a grieving family now supported by specially-trained officers. Sergeant Steve Waft from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“This is a devastating incident and the family are still coming to terms with the shock and grief of losing Henry. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time and officers will continue to support them over the coming days. I’d ask that their privacy is respected.”

Road Closures and Ongoing Investigation

Police closed the A52 in both directions between Saxondale Island and Grantham Road while they investigated. They are appealing to the public for any information or dashcam footage that might shed light on the crash.
