Teen Stabbed to Death in Terrifying Dagenham Machete Fight
Police raced to Dagenham Heath tube station just before midnight on Friday, May 5, after reports of two groups clashing with machetes.
18-Year-Old Dies at Scene
Officers and London Ambulance Service found an 18-year-old man stabbed. Despite urgent attempts to save him, he died at the scene. His family has been informed, and a post-mortem will be arranged.
A second man was also stabbed and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Murder Arrest Made
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. Multiple crime scenes remain active around the area.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector James Shirley said: “My thoughts are with the young man’s family and friends. We are determined to bring those responsible to justice amid today’s serious incidents in London.
“Our investigation is moving quickly. I thank those who have spoken to officers already. Anyone else with information must come forward urgently. Residents should check dash cams and doorbell footage for anything unusual and share it with us.”
