Massive Delays on QEII Bridge After Two-Vehicle Crash
Long tailbacks hit the QEII Bridge this morning after a lorry and van collided on the M25’s Essex side. Essex Police rushed to the scene at around 9:10am following reports of the crash on the A282, just before the bridge.
Serious Injuries but No Threat to Life
One person suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. Fortunately, police say the injuries are not life-threatening. The road was temporarily shut to allow emergency crews to respond, with two of the four lanes closed during the incident.
Queues Stretch for Miles
- Traffic backed up for two miles before junction 30 (A13, Lakeside)
- A13 queues extended all the way back to Grays
The bridge had only just reopened last night after Just Stop Oil protests and arrests.
Emergency Services on Scene
Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called out at 9:21am to assist Essex Fire at the dartford/" title="Dartford" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Dartford River Crossing. A single fire engine attended but no fire action was needed. An air ambulance was also at the scene.
