Drama unfolded on Willesden High Road around 1pm today during a police crackdown on illegal e-scooters. Officers ordered a male rider to stop — but he didn’t listen.
E-Scooter Hits Officer, Leaves Him Injured
The man sped off, crashing his scooter into a police officer and knocking him to the ground. The officer was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. He’s now recovering from a broken leg and concussion.
22-Year-Old Arrested: Charges Pile Up
The rider, a 22-year-old man, was arrested on the spot. He faces a battery of serious allegations including:

Inspector Martin Robbie of North West BCU said: “Officers put themselves in the face of danger on a daily basis. Incidents like this show the risks they take.”
“I want to remind everyone: unless part of a government-approved scheme, e-scooters are banned on public roads and spaces. Use them illegally and you risk arrest and seizure.”
