Woman Struck with Glass in Shocking Clifton Assault

A woman was seriously injured after being hit on the head with a glass in Clifton last night. The attack, which caused cuts to her face and head, took place just after 10.30pm on Farnborough Road.

Man Arrested Over Brutal Assault

Police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.

Victim’s Injuries Not Life-Threatening

Detective Constable Shelley Christian of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Thanks to quick police action, a man was arrested shortly after the incident. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-altering.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

DC Christian added: “We are committed to tackling domestic abuse and urge anyone affected to come forward. Specially trained officers are ready to support victims.”

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call police on 101, quoting incident number 728 of 2 April 2022.
