Woman Seriously Injured After Stolen Car Crime Shocker in Leicestershire

Attack After Stolen Car Found

Leicestershire Police launched a major investigation after a woman was seriously injured following a dramatic incident on Copt Oak Road, Copt Oak. Two men and a woman arrived at the scene on Wednesday after being told a stolen car – belonging to one of the men – had been found.

The vehicle had a black and ginger lurcher called Duke inside when it was stolen. The dog remains missing despite the recovery of the car.

Victim in Serious But Stable Condition

The woman, in her 30s, was rushed to hospital after being attacked. Police received reports of a serious injury at a service station in nearby Markfield but confirmed the assault happened on Copt Oak Road.

Police Make Multiple Arrests

Leicestershire Police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were also held on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in custody.

Two more men, aged 30 and 52, arrested the previous night have since been released on bail.

Investigation Continues – Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Detective Sergeant Jenny Tattersall from the Complex Investigation Team said: “While we have arrested three more people, our investigation is still very much continuing. I would like to speak to anyone who has information about the incident but has not yet come forward. Any details you’re able to provide could be of great help.”
