Tragic Cycling Crash on B3400 Claims Life of 70-Year-Old

A silver Vauxhall Vectra and a cyclist collided just after 10am on Friday, 23 July, on the B3400 between Andover and Hurstbourne Priors.

The cyclist, 70-year-old James “Jim” Tassell from Barlows Lane, Andover, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died from his injuries on Wednesday, 28 July.

81-Year-Old Driver Arrested Over Deadly Crash

The car driver, an 81-year-old man from Whitchurch, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has since been released under police investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
