Vandals Smash Church Roof and Windows in Great Chart
Thugs struck St Mary’s Church in Great Chart last Monday, smashing roof tiles and a window in a brazen attack. The damage happened between 2pm and 7pm on August 2, 2021, right on The Street.
Earlier Stone-Throwing Incident Linked to Damage
Police believe the vandals may be connected to an earlier rampage on Saturday, July 31. A gang of youths hurled stones at other church windows that morning, causing further damage.
Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are hunting anyone who saw either incident or has info to help catch the culprits. If you witnessed anything, don’t stay silent.
