Mini Cooper Firework Menace Sparks Police Hunt
Kent Police are on the lookout after a grey or dark Mini Cooper became the suspect in five firework attacks over six days. The bizarre spree has put locals on edge across Tonbridge and Malling.
Fireworks Thrown at Locals and Vehicles
- 6 November, 9am: A firework was hurled at a dustcart on Church Road when the Mini couldn’t squeeze past.
- 8 November, 2.40pm: Fireworks flew from the Mini towards a horse rider on Green Street Green Road, Darenth.
- 20 minutes later: Another firework targeted a cyclist in Gallows Wood.
- 10 November, 2pm: A dog walker on Fawkham Road was also caught in the crossfire.
- 11 November, around 2pm: Another horse rider reported a firework attack from a similar Mini in Exedown Road, Sevenoaks.
Community Safety Chief Warns: “Serious Injuries Narrowly Avoided”
“It is only by chance that nobody has suffered serious injuries in these incidents,” said Inspector Lizzie Jones of Tonbridge and Malling Community Safety Unit.
“We are linking the reports and appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Dash cam, doorbell cam, or CCTV footage could be crucial in identifying the culprit.”
