Hit-and-Run Horror in Beechdale: Teen Left Fighting for Life
Teen Motorcyclist Seriously Injured
Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver after an 18-year-old motorcyclist was slammed in Beechdale just before 12.30am on 21 July. The victim suffered a fractured skull and nasty injuries to his leg and ankle. He spent two days in hospital and is now recovering at home.
Suspect on the Loose After VW Takes Off
The crash involved a Volkswagen, and officers are desperate to find the driver who fled the scene. The suspect is described as a man aged 20-30, medium build, and just under 6ft tall.
Police Plea for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
PC Matthew Hempsall warned: “This was a serious incident and it was sheer luck that the victim was not fatally injured. The driver fled the scene and we are now carrying out a range of enquiries to identify them. We ask the driver – or anyone who knows them – to do the right thing and come forward.”
He added: “A number of drivers were in the area at the time. If you have dashcam footage or saw anything, please get in touch.”
