Riders leave woodland trashed

Off-road motorbikes tore through woodland near Sturry Road on five separate occasions between June and August 2021. Their reckless joyriding damaged a protected badger sett, sparking outrage from locals and wildlife fans.

Kent Police launch investigation

Officers from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force are probing the incident under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992. They’ve released a photo of a man who might hold key information to cracking the case.
