Two Seriously Injured in Morning Stabbing

An 11-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man were seriously hurt this morning in a stabbing incident involving a bladed weapon. Police have launched a full investigation into the shocking attack.

Boy’s Condition Stable, Man Critical

Senior Investigating Officer DI Steve Menzies of North Yorkshire Police confirmed the boy is now in stable condition in hospital. However, the 40-year-old man remains in critical condition and is closely monitored by officers.

Other Children Safe, No Further Suspects

Two other children, aged 10 and 13, were in the house during the incident. They are safe and being cared for by family and specialist police support.

“I can assure the public we are not seeking any other suspects,” said DI Menzies. “Our investigation continues to uncover the full facts of this morning’s disturbing event.”

“I want to thank the swift response from ambulance crews, paramedics, and police who provided vital emergency care,” he added.
