Tragic Norris Green Crash: Pensioner Dies After Collision with Car

A 76-year-old man has died following a serious collision in Norris Green on Tuesday, 18 May.

Pedestrian Struck on Townsend Avenue

At around 6.55pm, emergency services rushed to Townsend Avenue near Norwyn Road after a Citroen C3 hit a male pedestrian.

The victim was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away on Thursday, 20 May. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Driver Co-operating as Police Launch Investigation

The car driver stayed at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Roads Policing Sergeant Amy Murray said: “An investigation is ongoing after a man sadly died following a collision in Norris Green earlier this week, and we are keen to speak to anyone with information.”

“If you witnessed the collision, or have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the Townsend Avenue area, please get in touch as it may assist our enquiries.”
