Police Launch Manhunt After String of Sexual Assaults in Islington and City of London

Police are on high alert after several sexual assaults rocked Islington and the City of London. They’re urgently appealing for witnesses and victims to come forward.

Two Attacks in One Hour

On Thursday, 2 May, between 3pm and 4pm, two attacks hit the Bunhill area. One assault happened in Bunhill Fields, the other on Bunhill Row, EC1. So far, the victims remain unidentified. Authorities are desperate for their contact, urging anyone involved to get in touch.

Earlier Assaults Also Under Investigation

  • 19 June: Sexual assault reported within the City of London.
  • 16 August: Another reported assault in the same area.

Victims of these earlier attacks have been identified and are receiving police support. The investigations are ongoing.

Detective’s Plea: “Come Forward, We’re Here to Help”

“If you were around the Bunhill area on 2 May or saw anything suspicious, please contact us,” said Detective Constable Tom Wright, leading the investigation. “We’re trying to trace two women who were attacked and want to offer them support.”

Arrest Made – But Police Warn More Victims May Exist

The City of London Police have arrested a man and charged him with four counts of sexual assault linked to these incidents. But officers suspect there could be more victims.
