Knife-Wielding Robber Hits Gillingham Shop in Broad Daylight
Detectives are hunting a dangerous thief who brandished a kitchen knife and stole a hefty sum of cash from a Gillingham shop.

The chilling robbery took place around 10:50am on 16 February 2020 at a commercial premises on High Street, Gillingham. A man stormed in, threatening a staff member with a kitchen knife pressed against her throat. He demanded she hand over the money.
Police Seek Witnesses to ID Tall, Skinny Robber
The suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft 2in, very skinny, with black hair and a stubbly black beard. He spoke with a clear English accent and was dressed in a black cap, black gilet, and black skinny jeans.
“Fortunately, the shop worker was not injured during this attack. However, the offender is clearly very dangerous,” said Detective Sergeant Sam Stuart of kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police. “I am extremely keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who may have information about his identity so that we can bring him to justice.”
