Police are hunting witnesses after a nasty assault at a popular Newport pub on bank holiday Sunday. The fight broke out in the beer garden of the Three Horseshoes, Pillmawr Road, around 9.30pm on May 2.

Victim Seriously Injured

A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital with a broken jaw and other injuries. The shocking attack has left the local community shaken.

Two Men Arrested but Now Released

Two Newport men, aged 27 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They’ve since been released under investigation while police dig deeper.
