Two Disabled Women Attacked Over Seating Row on Train to London
Chaos erupted on a Ramsgate to London St Pancras train when two disabled women were allegedly assaulted during a bitter seating dispute. British Transport Police are now hunting for witnesses.
Assault Sparks on 6.20pm Service
The shocking attack took place on Saturday, September 9, at around 6.30pm, shortly after the train stopped at Margate station. One victim, using a powered wheelchair, was parked in her designated bay and seated. The other, on a mobility scooter, remained nearby on the opposite side.
Two unidentified women, unable to find seats, confronted the wheelchair user and demanded her spot. Despite her explaining she couldn’t move, one of the women launched an assault. The second victim was also attacked while still on her scooter.
Victims Taken to Hospital After Horrific Ordeal
The women carried on their journey and arrived at Gravesend station around 7.45pm. It was there the alleged attackers exited the train. Following arrival at London St Pancras, the victims were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Police Appeal for Eyewitnesses
British Transport Police have released images of suspects believed to have vital information. They are urging anyone who saw the incident or knows anything to get in touch immediately.
