Archer’s Clubhouse Ravaged in Brazen Burglary and Arson Attack

Police are hunting crooks after the Waterside Archers clubhouse in Exbury, New Forest, was targeted in a shocking burglary that ended in arson.

£2,000 of Bows and Gear Stolen

In the early hours of Sunday, December 18, thieves broke into the archery club near Exbury Gardens. They made off with around £2,000 worth of Rolan bows and arrows, plus a Garrett Ace 150 metal detector.

Portaloos Set Ablaze, Clubhouse Inside Damaged

The vandals didn’t stop there. Two Portaloos on site were set on fire, causing significant damage inside the clubhouse. The blaze destroyed all trophies and left the club without any bows – a huge blow for members.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

PC Claire Scammell said: “We would like to hear from anyone who knows who was responsible for this offence, or where the stolen items might be. If someone offers to sell you items of this description, please contact police immediately.”

Waterside Archers are desperate for help to track down their stolen kit. Anyone with information is urged to contact PC Scammell on 101, quoting reference 44160476028, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
