Fire Fury at Totton Allotments! Hampshire Police are hunting for witnesses after a shed was torched in a shocking arson attack at Totton’s Water Lane allotments.
Blaze Hits Allotment Sheds
The private allotment site was broken into late on the night of Friday, June 17. Between 11pm and 11:30pm, two sheds were broken into, and one was deliberately set on fire and destroyed.
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze.
Police Urge Vigilance and Tips
PC David Barnes from Lyndhurst Police Station said: “These allotments are well maintained and the owners take great pride in tending to this land.”
He added: “If you saw or heard anything suspicious around that time or before, please come forward. Allotment owners should secure their sheds, tidy away tools, and consider alarms or external lighting.”
