Gunfire Erupts Near Rayners Lane Station: Two Men Shot in Harrow
Police are hunting for witnesses after a chilling shooting near Rayners Lane station in Harrow left two men wounded. The gunfire broke out just after 5pm on Tuesday, 21 August, sparking a swift response from armed officers.
Shots Fired, Suspects Flee on Moped
Officers arrived after reports that a man opened fire on a group of males before zooming off on a moped with an accomplice. The victims, aged 18 and 24, were found injured in a nearby fenced area. Both were rushed to hospital but are thankfully not in life-threatening condition.
Two Arrested Over Attempted Murder
Close to the scene, police arrested two men aged 18 and 25 on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Single Shooter Confirmed
Initial reports suggested additional gunshots, but detectives now believe the male suspect was the lone shooter. Specialists from Trident Area and 1 Crime Command are leading the probe.
