Fire Breaks Out at Hove School – Smoke Fills the Air

East Sussex Fire and Rescue rushed to Blatchington Mill School in Hove at 5.42pm on January 17, 2023, after reports of thick smoke billowing from the building. By 6pm, four fire engines and crews were fighting the blaze on site.

Firefighters donned in breathing apparatus are tackling the ground-floor fire using hose reel jets. The smoke is heavy, prompting warnings to nearby residents.

Police are also at the scene assisting with safety and crowd control.
