Rescue Drama Unfolds at Sea
One survivor was found clinging to a buoy for over five hours before being rescued by a commercial fisherman. An HM Coastguard helicopter later recovered the body of Traiam Dumitrache, 50, a London national. Two other men remain missing as the search continues.
Investigation Underway
Police are in contact with MacDuff Shellfish Ltd, owners of the Vertrouwen, who are fully cooperating. Distress calls were not raised following the crash, raising fresh questions about the collision that rocked Shoreham waters.
