Shocking London Assault: Shop Worker Sprayed in Face During Theft Probe

British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a public appeal after a brazen assault on a shop staffer in London’s Victoria. The troubling incident unfolded at the Holland and Barrett store in Victoria Place shopping centre on August 16 at around 2.20pm BST.

Staff Confronts Suspected Shoplifter – Gets Sprayed in Face

A shop worker challenged a man carrying a bag stuffed with suspected stolen goods as he tried to leave. Instead of backing down, the suspect sprayed an unknown substance directly into the employee’s face before fleeing in a hurry.

The victim immediately suffered a burning sensation in their skin, eyes, and throat. Authorities have yet to reveal what was sprayed.
