A 32-year-old woman, Klaudia Zakrzewska from Essex, has died following a serious collision on Argyll Street, Westminster, on the early hours of Sunday, 19 April. She was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away on Saturday, 25 April. Police and emergency services are investigating the fatal collision, which also left a 58-year-old man with life-changing injuries.

Westminster Court Case

Gabrielle Carrington, 29, from Manchester, was charged on Monday, 20 April, with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving relating to the incident. After Klaudia’s death, the attempted murder charge has been upgraded to murder. Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21 April and was remanded into custody ahead of her next hearing at the Old Bailey on 19 May.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, extended deepest sympathies to Klaudia’s family and friends. She urged the public to avoid speculation and circulating graphic footage on social media, citing respect for the victim’s loved ones and the integrity of the ongoing criminal investigation.
