A heartless thief has struck at a cemetery in Cowes, sparking outrage in the local community.

Green Oak Planks Stolen from Northwood Cemetery

On 1 Road in Cowes, 24-foot by 12-foot green oak planks were ripped from the Northwood Cemetery. The timber was meant for use in the natural woodland burial ground next to Cowes Medical Centre.

Thief Must Have Planned and Used Transport

“This is very low and disgusting behaviour,” local residents have said.

Police are urging anyone with information to call 101. Help bring this callous thief to justice and return the stolen planks to Cowes cemetery.
