Four Held Over Fatal Stabbing – Total Now Six
Four suspects were initially arrested after a man in his twenties was stabbed to death in the early hours of Friday, August 19, 2022. kent.police.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police were called out just before 1 a.m., but the victim tragically died at the scene.
Since then, six people have been arrested. Two have been released without charge. Still in custody are a 17-year-old boy from Coulsdon, a 15-year-old girl from Tonbridge, and a 16-year-old boy from Tonbridge, all suspected of murder. A 47-year-old woman from Coulsdon faces allegations of assisting an offender.
Detectives Push for Witnesses and Clues
“We’ve had a positive response to our appeals and thank everyone who has come forward,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate. “Now, we’re keen to speak with anyone near Nelson Avenue between 11.55 p.m. on August 18 and 12.30 a.m. on August 19.”
Residents are urged to check their security systems and report anything suspicious, no matter how minor it seems.
