Portsmouth Assault: Police Hunt Trio After Delivery Driver and Student Attacked

Police are on the lookout after two men were brutally assaulted in Portsmouth.

Driver and Student Punched on King Richard I Road

Between 8pm and 8:35pm on Sunday, May 9, a delivery driver clashed with three unknown men near the junction of King Richard I Road and Winston Churchill Avenue. The driver was punched in the face during the confrontation.

Nearby students stepped in to help, but one was also attacked. The student suffered a split tongue and possibly a broken wrist after the assault on a nearby traffic island.

Suspects Spotted With Large Speaker Before Attack

The three suspects were seen wandering up and down Guildhall Walk carrying a black 12ft speaker shortly before the violence erupted. They’re described as white men in their twenties.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
