Teen Arrested After Toddler Found in Water at Lincoln Park

A 17-year-old boy has been detained following a chilling incident at Boultham Park in Lincoln, where a young child was discovered in the water.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

At around 9.20pm on Thursday, 21 August, police and emergency crews were called to Boultham Park. The child, who suffered minor injuries, was quickly transported to hospital for medical checks.

Authorities have set up a scene guard as investigations into the incident continue.

Arrest Made Over Child Neglect

Lincolnshire Police confirmed a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing as officers piece together what happened.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the park at the time, heard anything suspicious, or saw or heard a baby. Any detail, no matter how small, could prove crucial,” a spokesperson said.
