Two Men Arrested in East London and at Heathrow Over Terror Suspicions
Police swooped early Monday morning, detaining a 56-year-old man in east London at around 5:40am. Later, at Heathrow Airport, officers arrested a 28-year-old Canadian national just after he landed on a flight from Canada at 12:35pm.
Suspected Terror Links
Both men face arrest on suspicion of belonging to a banned organisation, breaching section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000. They are currently held under section 41 at a west London police station.
Raid Ongoing
Meanwhile, police continue searching three east London properties connected to the men as part of their terrorism investigation.
