Man Arrested After Early Morning Murder in Crawley
Police have detained a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Crawley early this morning (18 August).
Stabbing Victim Found in Car Park
Officers rushed to Station Way around 7:10 AM after reports of a violent altercation between a man and a woman. A search of the area uncovered a woman in a nearby car park suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics fought to save her, but she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Caught Quickly, Investigation Ongoing
Police swiftly arrested a man on Stephenson Road. The suspect, a local Crawley resident, remains in custody as investigators piece together the chilling events that led to the young woman’s death.

“This is a tragic incident that has seen a young woman lose her life,” said Superintendent Rachel Swinney. “Officers acted quickly to bring a suspect into custody, and we are not currently searching for anyone else.”
