Police Hunt Teen Gang After Shocking Lewisham Park Attack
A teenage girl was targeted in a terrifying assault after getting off a bus near Pepys Park, Lewisham, last Monday afternoon.
Chilling Attack in Pepys Park
At around 4.30pm on Monday, 22 March, the victim caught a bus heading to Lewisham. After stepping off, she went to Pepys Park and sat by the football cages.
Suddenly, a boy approached her. Moments later, two more boys joined him and allegedly snatched her phone before fleeing.
The girl and one boy are then said to have followed the suspects deeper into the park, where the trio reportedly pinned her down and committed a horrific sexual assault.
Police Release Descriptions of Three Suspects
Officers have issued detailed descriptions of the three teenage suspects believed to be responsible:
- Suspect 1: Black, 16-17 years old, no facial hair. Wearing a blue beanie, black ‘Kings Will Dream’ coat with fur-lined hood, black and grey trainers. Notable silver caps on two teeth.
- Suspect 2: Lighter-skinned black boy, approx 16-17, two earrings (one stud each ear), high-top hair with slight stubble. Wearing black Zavetti knee-length coat with a yellow and red logo on the sleeve.
- Suspect 3: Lighter-skinned black boy, approx 16-17, wearing a durag, black coat, and black tracksuit bottoms.
No Arrests Yet – Police Seek Urgent Witness Help
Detective Constable Daniel Weeks, leading the probe, said: “We are doing our utmost to support the victim with specially trained officers following this horrific incident.
“I urge anyone who was in Pepys Park that day to think carefully—did you see these males? Did anyone act suspiciously? Where did they go? Even the smallest detail could be vital to our investigation.”
So far, no arrests have been made, and police investigations remain ongoing.
