Brazen Sunglasses Heist Shakes Tuebrook Optician
Merseyside Police are on the hunt after a daring robbery at Tuebrook Eyecare on West Derby Road. The cheeky crook struck just before 9:30am on Wednesday, May 1st, swiping seven pairs of designer sunglasses in broad daylight.
Quick-Thinking Assistant Left Stunned
The culprit walked into the store and asked to try on glasses from a locked cabinet. The assistant unlocked it, only to watch in horror as the man grabbed seven pairs instead of one or two. Fearful of violence, staff didn’t stop him as he made off with the stolen eyewear.
Witness Caught Crook Throwing Loot
A passerby hearing the ruckus saw the thief toss one pair of glasses at the shop’s doorway before dashing away. The assistant, shaken but unharmed, immediately reported the robbery.
Police Seek Public’s Help to Nab Suspect
“Robbery from a business isn’t a victimless crime,” said Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher. “Our priority is catching this suspect before they strike again.”
