Police rushed to Henry Road, SW9, at 6.15pm on Tuesday, 23 February, after a teenage boy was found with stab wounds. Paramedics from the 1 Ambulance Service arrived alongside officers to treat the victim.
Now, a week later, the boy remains in critical condition in hospital. Officers continue to support his distraught family.
Detectives Seek Witnesses After Brutal Stabbing
Detective Inspector Yasser Awad, leading the investigation, slammed the attack as “violent” and serious. He pleaded with the public: “I believe there may be people who saw what happened but have not yet spoken with police.
“The attack happened in a residential area during lockdown, so many were home. If you heard or saw anything suspicious, we want to hear from you.”
White Van Driver Could Hold Key Clue
DI Awad is especially keen to speak to the driver of a white van spotted on Henry Road between 6.15pm and 6.20pm on the night of the stabbing. “We believe the driver may have vital information,” he said.
Family Plead for Help
Speaking for the victim’s family, his aunt made an emotional appeal: “The family and I are asking anyone with information to please help. We know it may be difficult to come forward, but please think about the victim and our family.”
