Two Stabbed Near Metro Station in Shocking Late-Night Attack
On Friday, November 20, around 9pm, two young men aged 21 and 23 were viciously stabbed while walking along a footpath next to the Metro station. The attacker suddenly approached and stabbed both victims — one suffered a chest wound, the other was stabbed in the stomach and back.
Victims Survive After Hospital Treatment
Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening. Both men were discharged from hospital the very next day. Police launched a full investigation and are eager to identify a key suspect captured on CCTV.
Police Hunt Man in Distinctive Outfit
Detective Inspector Ray Ascott described the stabbing as an “unprovoked act of violence” and urged public help. He said:
“We are working hard to trace the individual responsible. I’d appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image from his very distinctive clothing to get in touch as soon as possible.”
CCTV footage shows the suspect boarding a train at Cradley Heath station at 7.40pm, travelling to The Hawthorns, then catching another train towards destination 1.
How to Spot the Suspect
- Black baseball cap with black and white scarf wrapped around it
- Red and black North Face jacket
- Dark blue Under Armour joggers
- Light brown boots
- Wearing yellow rubber gloves
Police reassured the public that attacks on the Metro are “incredibly rare” and extra patrols are now in place.
