Delivery Driver Pushed to Ground in Shocking Attempted Bike Theft
A food delivery driver in his 40s was attacked by three thugs on Friday, 8 April at around 6pm while working. The trio demanded his motorbike, but when he refused, they shoved him to the ground, causing the bike to fall on top of him.
Thugs Flee After Public Interrupts Robbery
The attackers tried to steal the motorbike while the driver lay injured, but they were spooked by nearby witnesses and fled the scene. Police have reviewed CCTV footage and are hunting the suspects.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Constable Lyndsey Smith said: “This was a disgraceful and unprovoked attack on an innocent man who was out working, trying to earn money for his family.” “I urge anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV footage to come forward. We want the men in the released images to contact us or anyone recognising them to get in touch as they may hold vital information.”
