Hate Crime Horror at Local Pub
A man in his 50s was targeted with vile antisemitic abuse at a pub on Lord Street, near Albert Road, at around 6.30pm on Wednesday 21 September.
Suspect Spotted – Police Appeal for Help
The attacker hurled offensive slurs, leaving the victim deeply distressed. Since then, officers have launched a full investigation, scouring the area to find the culprit.
Detectives have now released images of a man they believe could assist in tracking down the suspect.
Detective Inspector Speaks Out
“We will not stand by and let people be subject to such disgraceful comments because of others’ perceptions,” said Detective Inspector Matthew Kerr.
“Hate crime will simply not be tolerated in our community. We are working hard to find the person responsible and bring them to justice.”
“If you were at the pub on Lord Street on the evening of 21 September and recognise this man, or if these images remind you of anything you saw that night, please get in touch.”
“Also, if you have any photos, CCTV footage or videos from that evening, please review them and contact us if you spot anything suspicious.”
