Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Attack in Manchester

Police rushed to Tib Street in Manchester city centre just before 6.30pm on Thursday, June 23, after a man was found unconscious and badly injured.

CCTV Captures Suspect Fleeing Scene

Footage shows a 62-year-old victim was assaulted near the Hilton Street junction by a male attacker. The suspect fled towards Hilton Street, then turned left onto Oldham Street, vanishing into the city crowd.

“This was an attack on a male who remains in hospital in critical condition, and his loved ones are no doubt desperate for answers,” said Longsight CID Detective Constable Tamsyn Muller.

Police Appeal for Witnesses to Help Crack Case

Detectives have scoured CCTV and followed several leads but need the public’s help. Anyone who recognises the suspect or saw anything is urged to get in touch.
