Desperate Search Underway for Missing Dementia Patient in Finsbury Park

Police have raised serious concerns for Peter, a vulnerable man with dementia who vanished from his home in Rosecroft, Finsbury Park, N22. His disappearance is out of character and his safety is now in doubt.

Last Seen on CCTV Near Wood Green

Peter was reported missing on Saturday evening after his carer found him absent from his address. The last confirmed sighting was at 1:37pm that day, captured on CCTV at the junction of Finsbury Road and Trinity Road.

Officers believe Peter then walked towards Wood Green High Road but his trail goes cold from there.

What Peter Looks Like

  • White, slim build
  • Balding grey hair and beard
  • Height about 5’10” to 5’11”
  • Wearing black jeans, yellow and black striped shirt, dark grey jacket, black shoes
  • Glasses and speaks with a Newcastle accent

He is familiar around Wood Green and has past links to Camden.

Police Plea: Help Find Peter Before It’s Too Late

Detective Inspector Paul Ridley from the North Area Public Protection Unit is leading the search. He appealed to the public, saying:

“The more time that goes by without a sighting or a trace of Peter, the more worried we become. He has no personal belongings and is severely affected by dementia. He needs medication he doesn’t have with him. “Searches and enquiries have been extensive but so far no luck. The footage shows Peter alone, moving slowly and unaware of his surroundings. Someone walking past him may have seen where he went next. We urge that person to come forward. “Finding Peter is our top priority. We’re asking the public to help.”

If you spot Peter, call 999 immediately. He will likely be confused and in need of medical help, so please approach him with care.

Residents in Finsbury Park and Haringey are urged to check doorbell and dash cams for any sign of Peter. Any clues on his movements could prove vital.
