London Cops Nab Stolen Paintings and Diamond Ring in Battersea Bust

High-Value Art and Jewellery Found After Police Stop

Detectives are holding three paintings and a pricey diamond ring believed stolen from a London home or vehicle in the south west. The items were recovered on October 15 following a stop and search of a 37-year-old man in Battersea, SW11.

Artist’s Signature Could Solve the Mystery

The paintings are signed and dated by a now-deceased local artist, making them rare finds. One has a unique mark on the back that could help police identify the rightful owners.

Police Appeal to Owner: “We Want to Reunite These Treasures”

“These items are distinctive and we really want to reunite them with their rightful owners,” said Trainee Detective Constable Ben White. “They are portraits of loved ones commissioned by a private collector, so if you recognise them, get in touch immediately. They’re safe with us.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD582/15Oct.
